Happy to be home! Not happy to be 196.2.

Type = "html" > holiday? Not really.
I am back from vacation in Alaska. In fact, I do not know that I would call it vacation. It was the family visit more, something I would not recommend doing for twelve days without interruption.

I love my sister and we get along great. We can talk for hours about everything and nothing. It is the rest of the family that little drove me a little nuts after a while. My three nieces and their husbands and children and their children.

My 21 year old niece has a three years. I like and love both, especially three years. Three years, Layla decided to make me her best friend. I know this because she told me, "aunt Diana, I decided I want you to be my best friend. '' Layla speak in complete sentences with an amazing vocabulary, and I could understand every word she said (she turned three two months ago). Even if she had a lot of fun, and I was amazed at his intelligence (you can't imagine how many times I said "is really only three?"), she bore me!

One day, Layla said her grandmother (my niece) what follows: "Grandma, you are fat, fat, fat! Of course, everyone attack Layla and said sound that was very rude. She said she was sorry. I did heard of this incident that more later in the day when my niece got say on this subject and how it makes bad feelings. Layla was sitting on my lap. Layla said to me, ' but I said I was sorry! I told him that when you say something mean to someone, even if you tell them you're sorry, it hurts still, the person. Call someone fat is not nice, and it hurts the person. You do not want to hurt people, you? She said no. Then I looked at her and said I know you are only three, but I know you understand me. She looked at me in the eyes and said: "Yes, aunt Diana, I understand you. I'm sorry, and I won't do it again". It is really only three, but not too young to learn that the words evil.

He was constantly in motion and constant conversation for twelve days. As a result, I'm exhausted. It was fun, but it was also sometimes stressful. Family dynamics can be complicated. I like them all, but I'm very happy to be home, 1500 miles away from them.

On the weight...196.2
You read the number on the right, it is not a typo - I weighed 196.2 this morning. Due to all the kids around from my sister, there were plenty of kid-friendly food. Cookies, candy, ice cream. All things I like. A cookie for Layla, a cookie for me. Cream for Layla, ice cream for me. A few pieces of candy for Layla, a bit for me. She was my eating buddy. She was also a ball of energy, constantly moving and lowercase. I've been an except for the three days, couch potato I managed to go to the gym.

This recent weight gain is depressing and it hurts. My body is sore and I feel like a big fat cow. Please do not leave a comment that it is normal and I'm not fat and should not be so hard on myself. I am huge, and I need to be hard on myself.

Today is a day to be on the right track. I know the drill. Exercise and food intake reduced and of course, no candy. It is hard to get back on track. Once I start to take weight, I can't stop eating. It is a vicious circle. On the other hand, I know that it is not impossible. I've done it before, I can do it again.

One day at a time, right?

For some reason, I didn't take very many pictures of this trip. I wasn't in the mood. I can not publish it and put a photo of Layla. It is the little one in the image below. You can see why I fell in love with her. The others are his mother, the beautiful Joanna aged 21 year and one of my nephews great, Robert (it is new and every picture I have of him has his eye closed) and another niece (from New Jersey), Cassie, she is 10. And if you're wondering, Layla is named after the song of Eric Clapton, Layla.

A post on Alaska is not complete without a picture of a moose. This was taken from the window of the living room at the House of my sister. One of the husbands of my niece and I spent an afternoon after this picture was taken cutting brush and branches from trees so we could see the better River (and moose). Hard work! I think I saw at least ten Moose while I was there. I sort of lost the account, but there were many of them.
